About the boot camp

Nonprofits position themselves effectively with targeted online communication and convincing storytelling. Discover how to create a strong brand identity with clear target groups and formulate convincing messages. Special emphasis is placed on a transparent appearance, a strong content strategy with storytelling, ethically correct image creation and targeted social media communication. Keep up to date with the latest developments in online communication and discover tools that you can use effectively even with a limited budget.

Goals

  1. Insight into the development of an authentic brand identity and convincing brand story for the effective communication of core messages.
  2. Learning digital storytelling techniques to strengthen emotional connections and community engagement.
  3. Acquire practical knowledge and skills in ethical visual communication and use digital innovations for maximum impact with limited resources.

Target group

Representatives of non-profit organizations of all levels of experience, from beginners to experienced professionals who want to take their communication strategies and measures to a new level.

Faculty & Speaker:in

Claudia Dutli graduated from the EHL Hotel Management School in 1998. Passugg GR. In addition to her many years as a communications manager at a private bank in Geneva, she completed further training as a public relations consultant. As publishing director, she manages the philanthropist and expanded her expertise in 2019 with the intensive foundation management course at the Center for Philanthropy Studies (CEPS), Basel.

Susanne Sugimoto is an experienced communications expert and entrepreneur. She studied geography at the University of Zurich and later obtained a Master’s degree in Communication and Leadership. With over 25 years of industry experience, Sugimoto has held senior communications positions at major companies. As a founding member of the online magazine “Republik”, she has in-depth media knowledge. Today, she is co-managing director of her own communications agency, co-president of Fairmedia and co-editorial director of the specialist magazine “The Philanthropist”. Sugimoto is committed to high-quality journalism and innovative media concepts.

Jörg Arnold is the co-founder and driving force behind Fairpicture. He is responsible for strategic development, finance and consulting. Fairpicture is an organization that has built a global network of over 180 photographers and videographers from five continents for fair storytelling. Arnold is committed to supporting local creatives and facilitating ethical image production for non-profit organizations and businesses worldwide. His focus is on sustainable visual communication and supporting communities through local expertise.

Anna Jakrlin is Senior Content Consultant at SiR MaRY a renowned creative and media agency in Zurich. In her role, she contributes to the development of campaigns, content strategies and integrated communication solutions. SiR MaRYfounded in 2016, has established itself as a leading digital agency and has received several awards, including Newcomer Agency of the Year 2019. Anna Jakrlin works in a multidisciplinary team that specializes in creating effective digital communication across media and thought boundaries.

Sabine Arnold studied German language and literature and graduated with a thesis on obituaries. She then worked in regional journalism for ten years, including at the Tages-Anzeiger newspaper. Since 2014, she has been working for various non-profit organizations specializing in palliative care, which focuses on the sick person and their wishes. As an independent communications consultant, she also supports stakeholders in the health and social care sector in their public image.
